Author Guidelines
Revista Coleta Científica receives original and unpublished manuscripts on a continuous-flow basis, in areas compatible with its editorial focus and scope. Submissions must present academic contribution, scientific quality, textual clarity, methodological adequacy, ethical compliance, and adherence to the journal’s editorial standards.
The submission of manuscripts implies the authors’ agreement with the journal’s editorial policies, including submission rules, peer review, editorial ethics, copyright, open access, privacy, use of generative artificial intelligence, and other guidelines available on the website.
Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the OJS platform of Revista Coleta Científica, after prior registration by the author responsible for the submission.
Submissions sent by e-mail, social media, messaging applications, or other channels external to the journal’s official platform will not be accepted.
The author responsible for the submission must monitor all stages of the editorial process through the OJS system, including any requests for adjustments, submission of supplementary documents, communication with the editorial team, and monitoring of the editorial decision.
Originality and Unpublished Status
Revista Coleta Científica accepts only original and unpublished manuscripts.
The manuscript may not be under simultaneous evaluation by another journal, book, conference proceedings, or any other editorial venue.
Texts derived from papers presented at scientific events may be submitted provided that they present substantial development, revision, theoretical, methodological, or analytical expansion, and do not constitute duplicate publication.
The journal does not accept plagiarism, improper self-plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification of results, citation manipulation, simultaneous submission, improper authorship, or any practice incompatible with scientific integrity.
Accepted Languages
Revista Coleta Científica accepts manuscripts in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Regardless of the main language, all articles must include the title, abstract, and keywords in English and in the original language of the manuscript.
Types of Manuscripts Accepted
Revista Coleta Científica may receive the following types of contributions, provided that they are aligned with the journal’s focus and scope:
a) original articles;

Submission Limit per Author
Each author may have only one manuscript under consideration by the journal at a time, considering the period between submission and the final editorial decision.
After the publication of an article, a minimum interval of one year is recommended before the same author submits a new manuscript, except in exceptional cases evaluated by the editors.
This rule seeks to preserve the diversity of authors, institutions, themes, and scientific contributions published by the journal.
Preparing the Manuscript for Blind Review
Revista Coleta Científica adopts a double-blind peer review system, in which authors do not know the identity of the reviewers and reviewers do not know the identity of the authors.
To ensure the integrity of blind review, authors must remove from the manuscript any element that allows authorship identification, including:
a) authors’ names;
b) acknowledgments with personal or institutional identification;
c) explicit references to projects, groups, or institutions that reveal authorship;
d) identifiable self-citations in the body of the text, when they compromise anonymity;
e) authorship data in the file properties.
In Microsoft Word files, authors must remove personal information from the document before submission. To do so, it is recommended to access: File → Info → Check for Issues → Inspect Document → Inspect → Document Properties and Personal Information → Remove All.
Complete authorship information must be entered only in the submission metadata within the OJS platform.

The use of generative artificial intelligence is permitted in an auxiliary, limited, and supervised manner, especially for language revision, textual organization, preliminary translation, technical support, or improvement of clarity, provided that the content is reviewed and validated by the authors.
It is prohibited to use artificial intelligence to fabricate data, create nonexistent references, manipulate results, produce false citations, conceal plagiarism, or replace the authors’ intellectual contribution.
When applicable, the following statement must be included before the references:
