Análise da Diversidade e Presença de Fungos Anemófilos na Área Urbana de Rio das Ostras, RJ, e Seus Potenciais Riscos para a Saúde

Os fungos anemófilos (dispersos pelo ar) constituem um componente biológico significativo do ambiente urbano, sendo relevantes devido à sua participação na degradação de matéria orgânica e, principalmente, por sua capacidade de induzir alergias e infecções humanas. Neste contexto, o presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar a diversidade e a presença desses microrganismos no ar atmosférico da área urbana de Rio das Ostras, RJ, correlacionando sua identificação com as características ambientais dos pontos de coleta e seus potenciais riscos à saúde pública. A pesquisa utilizou o método de exposição de placas de Petri contendo ágar Sabouraud Dextrose (BDA) em quatro locais distintos. A análise microbiológica revelou a presença de diversos gêneros fúngicos de alta relevância clínica e ambiental, destacando-se os patogênicos e oportunistas, como Aspergillus, Penicillium, Rhizopus, Acremonium, Paecilomyces e Curvularia. A identificação desses microrganismos está fortemente associada a fatores ambientais favoráveis à dispersão de esporos, como umidade e proximidade com matéria orgânica (lixo). Conclui-se que o estudo fornece subsídios inéditos sobre o potencial risco microbiológico do ar em Rio das Ostras, sendo uma ferramenta crucial para o monitoramento ambiental e o desenvolvimento de políticas de saúde pública no município.
