Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • I declare that I have read and am aware of the submission and publication rules and that failure to comply with any item of the rules will result in the immediate interruption of the evaluation process and the respective rejection of the submission.
  • Download the TEMPLATE for article submission in Revista Coleta Científica (Revista RCC).
  • The material must present at least 25% of references and citations from articles published in international scientific journals with JCR or H-index (SCOPUS, available at Scimago Journal Rank - https://www.scimagojr.com/).

Author Guidelines

The texts submitted to Coleta Científica Journal, in form and content, will obey what is prescribed below:

 

I - Text Submission

1. Texts should be submitted exclusively through the platform available in the electronic address of the Revista Coleta Científica.

2. Each author can only have one text in process, between the date of submission and that of publication, as well as the minimum period of one year will be observed for the submission of a new text, counting from the date of publication of the previous one.

3. Only texts written in Portuguese, German, Spanish, French, English and Italian will be accepted.

4. The texts must be original and unpublished, and cannot be submitted to other journals or to other publishing vehicles, national or foreign, while they are under evaluation by the Editorial Board.

5. Texts already published in scientific events, in Brazil or abroad, cannot exceed one year after their publication, and the corresponding date will be registered.

7. 7. Submitted reviews should preferably refer to works that have not yet been reviewed and have been published within the last year, including revised and/or expanded editions.

8. Submitted papers will be evaluated for scientific merit, adequacy to the determinations of the American Psychological Association 7th edition [APA] and to the guidelines contained in these guidelines.

9. Submitted texts that involve risks to human beings must clearly indicate the approval of the protocols of the ethics in research committee, registered at the National Committee of Ethics in Research (CONEP).

10. 10. Inform the Open Researcher and Contributor ID number (ORCID® Registry) of all authors. If an author does not have an ORCID registration, he/she must register through the link: <https://orcid.org/register>. Registration is free of charge.

11. The "URL" field must be filled in with the link to the curriculum vitae registered on the Lattes Platform.

12. To submit a text it is necessary to be registered as an author on the virtual platform of the journal: http://portalcoleta.com.br/index.php/rcc/user/register

13. The submitted text may not contain identification of the author(s), ensuring the integrity of the blind peer review, by observing all possible precautions in order not to reveal the identity of the author(s), nor of the referees, during the review process of the submitted text. The author(s) should take the following precautions: exclude their names from the text, replacing them by "author" or "authors", as well as the year, in references and footnotes.

15.  The information on authors must be filled in at the time of submission, since authors cannot be changed and/or included after the article is submitted.

16. The articles submitted to Coleta Científica Journal, obligatorily, need to conform to this Template to be evaluated.

II - Basic Rules for Formatting Texts

1. Typed in Word Editor (.doc); Arial font; size 12; justified; 1.0 spacing.

2. Articles will have between 30,000 and 50,000 characters with spaces; reviews, between 8,000 and 15,000 characters with spaces.

3. The articles will be presented, in the order specified below

3.1. title: uppercase, bold and size 12 (Title and Title in English and Portuguese).

3.2 Subtitle: uppercase, bold, size 12 (Subtitle and Subtitle in English and Portuguese).

3.3 Abstract: 1,300 to 1,500 characters with space (Abstract and Resumo have the same dimensions).

3.4 Keywords: minimum of 3 (three) and maximum of 5 (five), in alphabetical order, in capital letters, separated by periods (Keywords and Palavras-chave in the same format).

3.5. Articles written in a foreign language must also include the Portuguese version of the title, subtitle, abstract, and keywords.

3.6 References: all cited authors must be registered at the end of the text, with complete information, according to APA norms, highlighting the title in italics.

3.7 Include in the references of electronic articles the DOI in the accessible format, that is, with the prefix https://doi.org/.

3.8. The explanatory notes will be registered in the footer of the respective page, with sequential numbering in Arabic numerals.

3.9. Foreign words must be written in italics, and neologisms or unusual meanings in normal font and between "quotation marks".

4. In Microsoft Office documents, the author's ID must be removed from the document's properties (on the File > Properties menu) by starting on File, on the main menu, and clicking on the sequence: File > Information > Check for Problems > Inspect Document > Inspect > Document Properties and Personal Information > Remove All. Once removed, close the pop-up window and save.

III - Observations

1. all articles submitted to Coleta Científica Journal are checked by the Plagius program (plagiarism detection software).

2. The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or not the submitted papers and, eventually, to suggest modifications to the author(s), in order to adequate the texts for publication.

3. All authors must be identified in the METADATA of the article, in the Journals submission platform, and all the profile fields of the authors must be filled in: name (without abbreviation), institution of affiliation (without acronym), country and summary of the biography (last academic degree or degree in progress, institution of the degree, area of activity, department), as well as the e-mail of all the authors.

4. The institution and/or any of the editorial bodies of this publication are not responsible for the opinions, ideas and concepts emitted in the texts, which are the sole responsibility of their author(s).

5. All papers will be submitted to the evaluation of, at least, two experts in opinion, guaranteeing the secrecy and anonymity of both the author(s) and the referees (blind peer review).

6. 6. The summaries of the peer reviews will be sent to the respective author(s) only in case of conditional acceptance, via the journal's platform.

7. Whenever images are involved in the submitted texts, the authorization of the photographed and of the photographer is required. Photographs of minors must have the authorization of their parents or guardians on forms provided by the editors.

RULES FOR CITATIONS AND REFERENCES

The standards for citations in the texts to be published in Eccos Journal should follow the American Psychological Association 7th edition [APA] determinations.

Conditions for Submission

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check the compliance of the submission against all items listed below. Submissions that do not conform to the standards will be returned to the authors.

  1. The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not under consideration for publication by another journal;
  2. The submitted text does not contain identification of the author(s);
  3. The file for submission is in Microsoft Word format;
  4. The submission complies with all the normative aspects described in "Guidelines for authors";
  5. The manuscripts submitted to Coleta Científica Journal, necessarily, need to conform to this Template to be evaluated.
