TRABALHO NOTURNO E RISCO OCUPACIONAL: PRINCIPAIS TRANSTORNOS À SAÚDE

Resumo

Desalinhamento circadiano, sono curto e redução da melatonina podem perturbar a saúde pela alteração de processos fisiológicos e comportamentais que contribuem para o desenvolvimento/exacerbação de doenças, tornando o trabalho noturno um fator de risco ocupacional. Má qualidade do sono, sonolência diurna excessiva e insônia podem explicar a associação entre trabalho noturno e hipertensão. Para mulheres, ele é preocupante para a reprodução, pois altera os horários de sono/vigília e a exposição à luz à noite atrapalha o sistema circadiano e a liberação hormonal que interferem na fertilidade. Trabalho noturno afeta o equilíbrio entre vida pessoal/profissional/social e satisfação conjugal, influenciando a saúde mental. Desalinhamento circadiano e sono insuficiente podem alterar o gasto energético, horário e conteúdo das refeições, que, somados ao sedentarismo, contribuem para o surgimento da síndrome metabólica. O câncer não está relacionado apenas a fatores genéticos e sua associação com trabalho noturno resulta das alterações fisiológicas induzidas pela redução do sono e alteração circadiana. Estilo de vida pouco saudável, alimentação inadequada e sedentarismo são fatores de risco para o Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2, além do trabalho noturno, pois desalinhamento circadiano e privação de sono prejudicam o metabolismo da glicose, podendo afetar o gasto energético e a ingestão calórica. Mulheres são mais prejudicadas em relação às diferenças de gênero nos efeitos do trabalho noturno. Porém, os estudos apresentam resultados controversos com poucas associações comprovadas, mas como essas enfermidades custam caro, afetam a capacidade laboral e a qualidade de vida, programas e políticas que minimizem o risco para a saúde são importantes.

Bacharel em Nutrição pela Universidade Federal de Goiás (2011), especialista em Nutrição Materno Infantil pela Universidade Estácio de Sá no ano de 2018, mestranda em Ciências da Saúde pela Escola Superior de Ciências da Saúde de Brasília e Nutricionista na Secretaria de Saúde do Distrito Federal desde o ano de 2015.
